Hi, my name is . . .
I’m Anne Collins Duch. The last name is pronounced like Duke, but I’ve learned to answer to Dutch, Duck, Douche, or Duche’ without batting an eye.
I have been a physical therapist for 27 years, specializing in pelvic health for 25 of those years. I love what I do. I was pelvic health board certified in 2010, which was right about the time I also completed my 200 hr yoga teacher training.
Education is one of my favorite things. I have taught and participated in a gazillion PT continuing education trainings, completed an advanced yoga teacher training, and earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy during the pandemic years, while also recovering from a relatively traumatic, emergent bowel resection surgery - which taught me so much more about the rehab process than all of my clinical years combined.
My work with complex medical experiences (i.e. endometriosis, Elhers Danlos, menopause, and other undiagnosed things that “don’t make sense”) and my love for education led to the growth of my IG following and the subsequent development of my signature online course offering, What Happens in Vagus Doesn’t Have to Stay in Vagus: Nervous System Regulation Course.
I played college volleyball many moons ago, have run a handful of marathons, cycled in 2 dozen long, organized rides, completed a couple triathlons, and played in an old lady basketball league (which was THE BEST).
I have followed all the fitness trends through the years - from Jazzercise, to Aerobics, Tae Bo, Cross Training, Spinning, P90X, Zumba, Barre, CrossFit, and High Intensity Interval Training. I’ve (mostly) loved them all for one reason or another.
None of those movement trends grabbed me and held onto me quite as dearly as yoga, after stumbling into it by accident over a decade ago. I initially focused only on the physical aspect of the practice - but stayed for the immeasurable changes I felt in my mental and emotional well-being. I love to teach yoga and be a witness my students’ growth along the way.
My most important designation is as a mom to my three young adult kids, who the hubs and I have raised to (hopefully) be good roommates and even better humans. We all share two golden doodles named Charlie and Teddy, who are the best furry friends in all the land.
No matter the reason you found me here, I am thrilled to have you. Don’t hesitate to reach out and say hello!
